London - Istanbul - Abu Dhabi - Day 1
Woke up at 5 am with the alarm to find out that the Wizz air flight to Sofia had been cancelled. It was utterly frustrating and we had to look for an alternate flight last minute.
We found a flight via Istanbul on Air Pegasus. It was flying out from Stansted instead of Luton. So we had to book a taxi for the airport instead and cancel the car parking I had booked at Luton. It was non refundable so we lost the parking charges.
The flight to Istanbul was at 10:40AM and we reached the airport well in time to clear security and board the plane. The seating was very basic. At least we all were seated in one row. The flight was full. We watched a movie on the Honor pad and then took some rest.
We landed at Istanbul and we had a 4 hour layover at the airport. We grabbed some food and then waited at the cafe. The food was not that great at the airport but we had it anyway. They had added some dried potato to the shawarma, which did not taste good.
We then boarded our 9:30pm flight to Abu Dhabi. It was the standard Pegasus flight and we had the same seats as the last flight 34 A,B,C,D
We watched movies on our phone and Honor pad and played some games. It was 2:30am in the morning when we landed at Abu Dhabi. It was for the first time that we were mid air at New year's night :)
I had booked a car rental at the airport. After clearing customs we headed to the car rental and picked up the car.
