Barbados - Paddle Boarding - Day 6
We all got up early today. We drank coffee on the balcony and then got ready to get some breakfast from the petrol station. Deepika tried out a veg pizza from there and it was absolutely delicious. We tried to get some more but they were sold out. A funny things to mention was a man simply stopping and asking for beer when he saw we had beer.
We came back to our room, the weather was getting a bit cloudy. Deepika wanted to do a photo session at the beach. When it was a bit more brighter we went out and clicked a few snaps.
We changed back to our swimming gear and walked on the beach towards Harbour Lights. It was a nice pub and they organised the snorkeling trip with the turtles. We were a bit late for the day and they had cancelled the trip due to the rainy weather. So we walked back to our hotel, while Nimi swam back to the hotel. It was a long half mile swim and she did it effortlessly.
We sat down at the beach. The sun was beating down now. The kids played in the sand for a while and soon it was lunch time. We went to the Indian Grill place and had a couple of Chicken Rotis, we ordered a couple of spare rotis as well. The food was delicious and the portions were massive. And it cost only $21. We were very full after having all that food.
We went straight to the beach after lunch. We simply sat down there for over an hour and I was busy doing a bit of research on Quadency crypto bots. I had learnt about Bollinger bots. Deepika soon asked us all to come along for either a kayaking session or a paddle board. We decided to do paddle boarding.
The charges were $40 for 1 hour. And the shopkeeper even gave us a baby board for Niki. He then gave us a quick lesson on how to paddle board and after 5 mins we were all ready to get into the water.
Me and Nimi went first. Getting on to the board was tricky, but balancing when you stood up on the board was even tricker. I fell down into the water a few times. But then I got the hang of it and it was superb fun to do paddle boarding. Deepika was very nimble on her feet and did not lose her balance at all, she did it very nicely. Even Niki on her small board was paddling on her knees like a pro. At first she was a bit scared, but later she was confident and was paddling away with a massive grin on her face.
Nimi had the most fun as she picked up the technique very quickly and her balance was good. She paddled alone for a long time as well. The fun part was when all 4 of us climbed onto one paddle board and were singing "row row row your boat'... and then all 4 of us splashed into the water. We paddled for well over an hour and then we came back to the beach.
The kids played for some time at the beach. This is the longest we had stayed at the beach. It was getting dark and the lights were on. We came back to the room and got fresh. We were planning to watch some movie, but Niki was very tired and slept immediately. Nimi and I had some of the chicken fried rice and we too slept. It was an amazing day. The best day of the vacation so far.
