Abu Dhabi - Day 2

It was the 1st of January 2025 We were barely able to sleep at the night as we had reached Sudha's place almost at 6am in the morning. So after lying down for a short while Deepika and I woke up and we sat down and chatted with Sukant and Sudha.

We went down for a walk around the block as the kids were sleeping. The place was lovely and very spacious. They had heated swimming pools around their building. We came up and their cook had prepared parantha and aalu fry for breakfast.

We had booked our tickets to visit the BAPS Hindu temple at Abu Dhabi. We had mutton curry and rice for lunch and then all of us got fresh and were ready to visit the temple.

The temple was a 30 minutes drive away. The roads were very wide with several lanes. The cars were driving fast as well. We found a place to park at the temple. The queue was massive at the temple. It took us another 45 minutes to get inside the temple. The temple was very clean and we paid our respects and took blessings. After spending about an hour at the temple we started our drive to Dubai Global Village.

It was an hours drive and we reached there at about 4pm. I had already booked the entry tickets for the global Village. It was AED 30 per head. There were pavilions from multiple countries exhibiting their food and also artefacts to buy. We moved around the Global village and as it grew darker the lighting came on and the place was glowing with light decorations.

We kept on buying nibbles to eat. it seemed like anything you bought to eat was AED 35 We then sat down at the main stage to see some shows. There were several shows lined up including one with live drums and another with Bollywood dance music We sat there for almost 2 hours and enjoyed all the shows.

After that we started our drive back to Abu Dhabi. It took us about 1 hour 30 minutes to reach home. It was almost 1am and we crept into bed and crashed. The tiredness of the journey had finally set in and we all slept.
