Dubai - Al Ain - Abu Dhabi - Day 5

We all woke up a bit early today to get ready and check out of the hotel. The weather was very nice today and we all got fresh and ready to go. The check out time at the hotel was 12 noon and we checked out at noon :) 

We got our car from the valet parking and then we set course for Biryanis and Biryanis in Bur Dubai. The plan was to have a proper lunch before we set out on our way to Palm Jumeirah. So we drove there and found a parking nearby. We had chicken curry and roti today. It was very filling and we all were ready to go. 

We drove to Palm Jumeirah. It was a lovely set up. It was as if you are in another part of Dubai. It was completely touristic and hardly any locals in there. The crowd essentially was different. We found a spot to park and strolled along the promenade. We took a  few pictures. The temperature was 24 degrees and it was perfect to just stand there and enjoy the sun and the sea view. 

I called Sudha and they suggested that we go to Al Ain. The place to visit there was Jebel Hafeet. Jebel in Arabic meant Mountain. Al Ain was a nice big city and was one of the 7 Emirates. It was a 2 and half hours drive to the place. We set off straightaway. The roads were very smooth all the way. 

The driving was a bit aggressive but thats the way it is over here. We kept under the speed limit and reached the hill top. 

The sun was about to set and the views were stunning. We took loads of pictures at the place and the natural beauty of the place enthralled us. After spending some time there we decided to head back to Abu Dhabi and have some food there. The speed limit on the highway was 160kmph. But our car would only go up to 120kmph without making the beeping sound. 

The kids were in Sudha's car, so it was just me and Deepika in our car. When there were the last 40kms to go we put on some loud music and I put my foot on the pedal and pushed the speed towards 160. We covered the 40kms in a jiffy and it was good fun driving at speed. We went to Abu Dhabi mall to park the car and then went out of the mall to have some food. 

We sat out in the open and had our dinner. We ordered a lot of food and sat there and enjoyed the delicacies. After that Sukant wanted to take the kids for some kulfi. There was a place called Kulfilicious which served a variety of kulfis. We had Lichi, Mango and Pista kulfis and then came back to Sudha's place. 

We then planned to go for some Seesha. It was almost 12am in the morning when we went to the seesha place. It was literally below the building and we walked there. We ordered a couple of seeshas and sat there and talked about a lot of stuff. It was a lovely conversation. Sukant mentioned that given that I had a UK passport I could earn between 70K to 90K Dirhams per month. 

We finished out seesha at about 2am and then came back home. The kids were still watching a movie so we asked them to stop watching and go to sleep. We all slept and it has been an exciting and eventful day.
