Greece - Kafelonia - Day 1

We had booked our holidays using LoveHolidays. It was a 7 nights package in a resort in Kafelonia. The reservation was at Avithos Resort www.avithosresort.com in the South West corner of the island. We were mired with a lot of questions about Nimi's high school, so we did not prepare much for the holidays. 

The flight was from Stansted airport, scheduled to depart at 3pm. We started from our home at about 12pm and on our way we discussed the options of moving home into Buckinghamshire, and on thinking it out we decided that we will not be moving home and we will rather target St. Clement Danes,  and also on the Slough schools as Nimi had cleared those as well. 

We did feel a lot relaxed after that, and started to get into our holiday mode. We used the long stay car park and took the shuttle bus into the airport. 

There was not much crowd and we got thorough security quite fast and waited for our flight. We had some food from Itsu. We took the Katsu curry and a Thai curry. It was good and it filled us up nicely before boarding the flight.  

Although we were seated in different seats we managed to get all our seat together as there were plenty of empty seats on the flight. 

It was a 3 hour flight, and there was a 2 hours time difference. On reaching the airport we walked out of the airport to the car rental place. We picked up our car and drove to our resort. It was about 10 mins away from the airport. 

Our room was extremely cosy and the resort was spectacular. We loved every bit of the hotel. We went out to the bar to have our dinner. We had chicken souvlaki, we were very full, we went up to our room and slept.

We were upgraded to the junior suite. Room 209. It was a fantastic room.
