Greece - Kefalonia - Stansted - Day 8
It was the last day of our trip. Our flight was not until late in the evening so we still had the entire day to ourselves.
We went down to have our breakfast. It was a nice warm sunny day so we sat down near the pool after having our breakfast. We requested for a late check out from the rom, so that we could have our lunch before moving out.
We went back to our room after a while and finished all our packing. We sat near the pool again and almost dozed off for a bit. For lunch we had chicken curry and rice. The facility of a kitchen in places like such is a life saver. We were able to have food of our liking because of it.
We loaded our bags into our car and checked out of the room. After a while we all deiced to go back to Ai Helis beach. The girls had not had enough of the beach and we too wanted to go back one more time. We walked on the beach for well over an hour and relaxed listening to the waves climbing up the sandy shores.
Needless to say Niki got her clothes wet. So after spending as much time as we could there we headed back to the hotel. The girls got clean and changed their clothes, swapped their flip flops to shoes and were ready to go.
We drove the airport which was only 5 mins away. We dropped the car off at the car rental and walked to the airport.
We were the first ones to go in. We had loads of time in our hands and we talked about a lot of things. The girls played their card games.
The flight was on time and we boarded the flight and as soon as it took off, we all dozed off. Niki and Nimi were sad as they were missing the sunny, sandy beaches.
We landed in Stansted on time and the customs was done fairly quick as well. We waited for our shuttle bus to take us to the long stay car park. Picked up our car and drove back home. Driving our BMW was so much more comfortable that the Nissan.
We had maggi for dinner and we all went to bed as soon as we had some food.

Overall the holidays were fantastic. This holiday was such a success due to the efforts and planning of Deepika. In this holiday we took a critical decision not to move to Buckinghamshire, for schools. We were extremely happy with Nimi's results and were confident that she will do very well in her life. We also shuffled a lot on our shares investments. That was very satisfying as well. We came up withe some very innovative and exciting business prospects, which I am sure we will implement very soon. This was a much needed break for our family after months of had work and sacrifice for 11+ exams.
