Day 6 - Orlando - Universal Studios
Got up a bit later than usual today at about 7am. We got fresh and walked over to the 7 Eleven store and got some hot dogs for breakfast.
We got back and then were ready to go to Universal Studios. It was a half an hour drive from our hotel. We had to park in their car park and it cost us $30 just to park there. And it was free parking after 6PM if you wanted to visit at night.
We went inside and after the security check, it was a bit of a walk to get to the resort. It was getting really hot and we had to keep running to the shelter every 5 minutes.
We clicked a lot of pictures over there with the iconic Universal Studios revolving globe.
We then went to Hard Rock Cafe and had some nibbles and drinks.
We walked around the City Walk and explored all the places.
We even took a boat ride within the resort. It was such a nice experience. So many people visit this place every year but there is no mention of the free stuff that you can do on City Walk.
The tickets to the theme park are expensive and are not worth it. Its almost £200 per person to get theme park tickets.
After spending some time at the resort, we headed back to the hotel and relaxed near the pool. Niki was keen to swim and we all sat there and sipped on our drinks.
After we all got fresh we ordered pizza from Papa Johns next door. We got one large pizza for all 4 of us. If was filling. We then planned to go on a drive to Ikon park.
The parking on Ikon park was free from floors 4 to 7. We found a parking space and went to the Ikon park. It was essentially a food market with lots of dining options and fun games for kids.
Niki had candy floss and we walked there for a bit. After that we decided to visit Universal studios again in the night.
This time the parking was free and we went into City walk which was all lit up and there was DJs and live stage performances and also live music in a lot of the eating places.
It was a lot more vibrant and lively in the evening, and we walked around the place soaking it all in.
The kids were getting tired so we decided to head back to the hotel. We took the toll road to reach the hotel faster.
