Day 8 - Orlando - Frederickberg

 It was another bright day but the weather was soon to change to rainy. We had made a slight change to our plans and had decided to start our drive towards New York early. 

We had done so much shopping over at Orlando that we had to buy another suitcase. So in the morning I drove to Walmart and bought a suitcase. We packed everything just to realise that the suitcase was faulty as it has a zipper missing. So we had to go back and get it replaced with another expensive one. 

After all that ordeal we finally set off for Richmond. We had decided that we will do a 10 hour drive today and the rest of the 6 hours we will cover in the next day. 

We had some fruits from Walmart and we kept driving most of the morning and we stopped at about 1pm for lunch at KFC. 

We had so much chicken strips and chips that we were stuffed and all of us were not going to have any KFC for the next few months. 

We then set off on our road trip again. We started from Florida, we then drove into South Carolina, then North Carolina, then Georgia, then Maryland and then Virginia. 

We had not booked any hotel for the night as we were not sure how far we would be driving. it was about 9pm and we had crossed Richmond. We decided to drive another hour and that took us to Frederickberg. 

Deepika looked at the hotel options and she decided we should stay at the Holiday Inn there. I booked the room along with breakfast for just over $100. It was the best room we had stayed in so far. 

To be honest it was a much need rest. we did the right thing by taking a break and sleeping the night. We were all exhausted and we dozed off instantly.
